"The Sing-Off is a four-part American television singing competition featuring a cappella groups from the United States and Puerto Rico. It is produced by Sony Pictures Television and premiered on NBC on December 14, 2009.
The program's host is Nick Lachey, and the judges are Ben Folds, Shawn Stockman, and Nicole Scherzinger.

The show will feature eight of the country's top a cappella groups performing popular songs in a way that viewers have never heard them before. There is no lip-synching or back-up bands. They sing for America's vote with the winner walking away with an Epic Records/Sony Music recording contract."
